Findings from the EuroRoadS workshop on

Draft specifications

EuroRoadS held its 3rd workshop on 2 February at PTV in Karlsruhe. The aim of the workshop was to inform and receive feedback from a wider audience on structure and context of the reports "Draft specification of road network information model" and "Draft specification of core European road data".

Specification of road data network information model

This report defines a draft application schema for core European road data as specified by the project. The aim of the draft is to define a structure that contains enough details for discussions in a wider audience about the road network information model. This will help in making necessary adjustments and developments in the preparation of the final version of the EuroRoadS application schema.
Download the draft report D6.2 here.

Specification of core European road data

This report includes a draft definition of the road network and common features, such as feature types, attribute types and attribute value domains. It also contains specified quality levels for the data, rules for generalisation or the road network, definition of geodetic reference system to be used as well as mechanisms for edge-matching at nation (and dataset) boarders. Download the draft report D6.4 here.

Review of EuroRoadS-reports

Several important contacts were given directly during the workshop. EuroRoadS also expects to receive more detailed written comments during the reviewing period.
Your comments are appreciated, no later than 21 March 2005!
