Standardisation of roads

EuroRoadS takes part in the standardisation project for geographic information directed by the Swedish Standards Institute (SIS).

 - I believe that we will fulfil the EuroRoadS objectives and achieve a common road standard more rapidly by taking an active part of the road data standardisation project, says Ulf Sandgren, EuroRoadS Project Manager.

 - Now when EuroRoadS is taking part in the road standardisation project we will achieve an international co-operation, where we can exchange experiences between countries, says Torbjörn Cederholm, project leader SIS.

Harmonisation of road data in different countries makes transports more efficient and safe. The aim of SIS is to help companies, authorities and organisations to keep up with and take part in creating European and global standards.
