The EuroRoadS Consortium is pleased to invite you to the EuroRoadS Closing Workshop on 27 June 2006 in Brussels. Demonstrations, experiences and practical results on the EuroRoadS solution will be presented and discussed.

Report from EuroRoadS Workshop on implementation and exploitation

The EuroRoadS workshop: “Implementing and exploiting a European road data network” was held on the 9th of March 2006 in Paris. The workshop attracted more than 50 participants from 35 organisations within public and private sector, representing 18 European countries.

The aim of the workshop was to present and discuss the EuroRoadS work-in-progress and specifically the development of the implementation and exploitation plans. The workshop discussed strategic issues for deployment of the EuroRoadS solution, and the technical and business issues were discussed in parallel break-out sessions.

Comments on EuroRoadS framework documents

All EuroRoadS framework documents − specifications describing the information model, core data content, exchange model and exchange formats, as well as metadata and terminology catalogue − are now available in version Final Draft 2.0 on www.euroroad.org
Comments on the framework documents are welcome to be sent in until 15 June 2006. Please send your comments to the project managers using this link.

Based on comments and results from the demonstartion, all framework documents will be updated and a version Final 1.0 will be published by end of August 2006 (just before the EuroRoadS project close).

EuroRoadS presented at Interparliamentary Conference on INSPIRE

As 1 out of 8 demonstations EuroRoadS was presented at the Interparliamentary Conference on  INSPIRE in Gävle on 3-4 April. The aim was not only to present results but also to give input on experiences of general interest for the development of the implementing rules for the INSPIRE directive.
