Project end and resultsThe EuroRoadS-project terminated on 31 August 2006 and all final reports are now to be found on www.euroroads.org. This includes the public final project report, the final versions of the specification framework, the implementation and exploitation plan. EuroRoadS has met the operational goals being defined in the project setup. The project is timely and meets important requirements. In most countries the spatial data infrastructures (SDI) are now in the process of being developed both on national, regional and local level. Also on the European level – pushed by the INSPIRE initiative – the European SDI are now developing rapidly. EuroRoadS has a suitable technical approach and links ITS and geomatics. Already now the results are being used in practice and there are also projects and initiatives planning to make use of the specifications, quality model and other results. Still it is important to promote a wider practical use of the results giving more experiences and basis for further development. Welcome to take part in the establishment of a EuroRoadS ForumThere has been a clear interest to support the deployment of the EuroRoadS results why it has been proposed to establish a EuroRoadS Forum to promote and exploit the results.
