Implementation plan
Objectives
The main objective is to assess the structures and mechanisms needed for the implementation of an interoperable road data solution for Europe. This work will focus primarily on the situation within the EU Member States, EFTA and candidate countries, but also pay regard to (and have an impact on) the conditions in all other European countries.
Description of work
1. Work package management
2. Prepare a questionnaire on: existing road data availability, management structures, data access policies etc. for national or local solutions (assess existing sources, assess gaps and issues, prepare and distribute questionnaire and explanatory supporting documents
3. Collect and analyse answers, prepare synthetic report
4. Preparing a discussion document for the Implementation Plan: initial issues and possible options for the creation of an interoperable solution for European road data and its widespread use and exploitation
5. E-discussions and workshops including the wider European road data community (provider of the geometry, providers of the other road data, users and service providers, at the national, and sub-national level)
6. Drafting of the final Implementation Plan
