Exploitation plan
Objectives
The objective of this work package is to develop an exploitation plan to support a wide use of the European road data infrastructure and to facilitate services built on it.
Description of work
This work package will concentrate essentially on recommendations to foster the exploitation of road information enabled by the harmonised European road interface. It will take advantage of the results of other activities within the project that will aim at assessing the technical and commercial feasibility to demonstrate potential benefits to business actors. This include not only data provision services but also the large range of other kinds of services that can be improved or built on the road information in the near future in Europe.
The reference groups with representatives of different key actors – road authorities, national surveying and mapping agencies, and service providers – will be used for input to the work. During a dedicated workshop a first draft of recommendations will be presented to the reference groups and then a final version will be produced taking into consideration the users’ requests.
